Software and Hardware for RISC OS
and Acorn computer systems
APDL supplies software and hardware for RISC OS, formerly Acorn computer systems. Although some items may be usable on a Windows PC or Apple computer we do not directly support anything other than RISC OS.
Many programs are now available for download instead of being supplied just on CD or floppy disc. Please see the information on Software Download before ordering in this way.
RISC OS is a proprietory operating system which runs on RISC processors designed by ARM Ltd. You can't run any of our software on a Windows PC or Apple Mac unless you are using an emulator (see below). To find out more about RISC OS click on the Links button on the left which will lead you to several useful RISC OS sites.
The latest hardware expansion card for the RiscPC, the Vpod graphics card, is now available. Break away from the trade off between high screen resolution and colour depth and revitalise your RiscPC desktop.
Got a Windows PC or Apple Mac? Used to have an Acorn computer and have parted with it but remember how good they are? Well, you don't have to suffer this cruel deprivation any longer. APDL offer the RISC 2 PC CD with the Freeware Red Squirrel emulator and lots of other utilities for running BBC and Acorn programs on a Windows PC, or you can purchase Virtual Acorn, the high speed ready-to-run RISC OS emulators for the Windows PC or Apple Mac.

Almost the complete contents of the APDL PD library is now available for FREE.
